From Warrior to warrior

This program aims to empower children or anyone with a type 1 diabetes diagnosis through personal contact and sharing information between peers.  Education is made more effective as it comes charged with empathy, since it comes from someone contemporary in age, and with the necessary experience and supervision to emotionally contain the effects of a type 1 diabetes diagnosis. We have found that such an interaction has a healing effect, if it is done on good terms and with adequate information.
